WANG Zhen President
WANG Zhen, president of CNOOC Energy Economics Institute, a fellow of the British Energy Society, a Fulbright Visiting Scholar of the United States, a chief expert of major research project in philosophy and social sciences of the Ministry of Education, and a professor and doctoral tutor of China University of Petroleum (Beijing). He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Finance from Guanghua School of Management, Peking University. He was a deputy director of the Policy Research Office of China National Petroleum Corporation, a chief expert of the China Top Think Tank of CNPC Economics and Technology Research Institute, a president of School of Economics and Management, China University of Petroleum (Beijing) and an executive vice president of Academy of Chinese Energy Strategy. At present, Wang is also holding many academic positions such as director of China Center for International Economics Exchange and deputy director of Energy Economics Professional Committee of China Energy Research Society. Wang published more than 150 academic papers in several leading academic journals including "Energy", "Managing the World", "Financial Research", and "World Economics and Politics", published more than 40 articles in mainstream domestic media such as "People's Daily" and "Economic Daily". He won the first prize of the National Energy Administration's Outstanding Achievement in social Science Award, the second prize of Beijing Philosophy and Social Science Award, the Outstanding Paper of the Ninth Annual Conference of Global Finance, and the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation of Peking University. Wang's research fields include energy economy and green finance, cross-border investment and mergers. |
