The President's Message
CNOOC Energy Economics Institute was established on December 15, 2020, it is a think tank and decision support organization directly under China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC). Since its establishment, we have always adhered to the entrepreneurial qualities of "high-end, high starting point, and high-level", upheld the TRUST value culture of "truth-seeking, responsibility, unique-thinking, specialization, and teamwork", inherited the fine tradition of CNOOC's strategic and visionary and carried the new mission guided by CNOOC employees under the new development concept. We strive to build a capable, efficient and energetic team, and continue to enhance the brand value of "CNOOC Think Tank".
To facing great change unseen in a century, and facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges brought by the “carbon peak” and “carbon neutral” goals, the CNOOC Energy Economics Institute will thoroughly implement the new energy security strategy of “Four Revolutions and One Cooperation” and the important instructional spirit on strengthening the construction of new-type think tanks with Chinese characteristics proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping, follow CNOOC’s "1534" development ideas, continuously improve the research level of strategic and policy, and strive to build a first-class international energy company think tank with Chinese characteristics .
Looking forward to the future, CNOOC Energy Economics Institute is willing to strengthen communication and cooperation with domestic and foreign petroleum and petrochemical companies, energy companies and think tanks, and continue to expand our "friend circle" and cooperation network. We are willing to work with all parties to contribute to the "global village" with sufficient energy, blue sky, green land, beautiful mountains, clear waters, and harmonious symbiosis, and to provide intellectual support for the healthy and sustainable development of our country's energy and petroleum industries.
